Carrying out the first arc fault test.

Betonbau is once again setting the industry standard by focusing - at a very early stage - on the protection of people and functional safety in all developments, now also under arc fault conditions.

+ Background

  • Against the background of the then newly published, still provisional Pehla guideline on arc fault tests on switchgear and the desire for "arc fault-proof stations", Betonbau begins an intensive research program with the aim of improving protection against the effects of arc fault events in network stations and better understanding the stresses in these extreme situations.
  • To this end, an extensive and ongoing test program is launched to repeatedly test optimized designs and new developments under real conditions and verify the high level of protection.
  • In the course of this, Betonbau develops a whole range of different pressure relief systems (e.g. a new type of roof perimeter ventilation).
  • This increasingly differentiates Betonbau from ordinary manufacturers of prefabricated parts and underlines its development into a system provider for technical buildings.
